Selection of ballets: Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker

Tchaikovsky's Ballets include some of the most iconic melodies from Tchaikovsky's ballets, which have captivated generations with their beauty and emotion.

Pieces such as the "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" and the "Waltz of the Flowers" from The Nutcracker, or the "Swan Theme" from Swan Lake, have become part of the popular cultural heritage, recognized even outside the context of ballet. Tchaikovsky transformed the world of ballet with his music, and his works continue to be essential for both theatrical performances and classical music in general.

Additionally, the concert is enriched with two contemporary works. "Badder Gyrations" by A. Maunders, a dynamic and innovative piece, will add a modern touch to the evening. We will also have the privilege of attending the world premiere of "Ceci n'est pas une valse" by Raquel Garcia-Tomás, the season's guest composer at the Palau de la Música, known for her ability to innovate and break down barriers between different art forms. Her work reflects a contemporary and experimental vision of classical music, attracting both traditional music lovers and enthusiasts of new forms of artistic expression.
