The Concerto for Piano No. 2 by Chopin is a work that combines melodic beauty with demanding piano technique. The piece stands out for its romantic expressiveness, it lyrical passages and its power to capture the attention and emotions of whoever listens to it. Composed between 1829 and 1830, it is one of the most noteworthy and popular works in the repertoire for piano.
The work will be performed on this occasion by Anthony Ratinov, winner of the 25th Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition, which is held every two years in the Auditori Enric Granados in Lleida.
We will hear more about Chopin through the actress Emma Vilarasau, who will lend her voice to the correspondence between the composer and the French writer George Sand, from the point of view of the latter.
