The Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès turns full circle with its Festival of Waltzes and Dances. It’s that time of year when we recall the cyclical nature of life through the world’s most celebrated three-part (ternary) dance form: the waltz. This most refined expression of the number three will be accompanied by the beats of binary dance forms from different parts of the world that burst with joy. Reminding us that some music is directed at our feet rather than our heads, the festival ushers in the new year with dance-filled hope.
This year, the programme conducted by Xavier Puig will review 12 significant moments of 2023, expressing them through music. The orchestra will be accompanied by the Catalan soprano Montserrat Seró, a young singing talent who has been forging a brilliant career in recent years.
